Import dog(s) and cat(s) into Hong Kong

First you need to find out which country / place group your animal is coming from, as Hong Kong has different import requirement for pets from different Group countries.:

 

GROUP 1 (8 Countries/Places):

Australia, Fiji, Hawaii, Ireland, Japan, New Zealand, United Kingdom and Bailiwick of Jersey

*No quarantine required, pets can be import at 8 weeks of age with the required vaccinations*

GROUP 2 (39 Countries/Places):

Austria, Bahamas, Bahrain, Belgium, Bermuda, Brunei, Canada, Cayman Island, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Guam, Iceland, Italy, Jamaica, Luxembourg, Maldives, Malta, Mauritius, Norway, New Caledonia, Papua New Guinea, Portugal, Republic of Korea, Seychelles, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Taiwan, USA (Continental), Vanuatu, Virgin Islands 

*No quarantine required, pets must be at least 5 months of age when travel with the required vaccinations, pet must stay in the country for at least 6 months* 

 

GROUP 3 

Countries / places not listed above in Group 1 and Group 2 are consider Group 3

Any pets imported from Group III countries / places are subject to a minimum of 4-month quarantine on arrival at the expense of the owner. Quarantine facilities has limited space we recommend you to book well in advance as sometime the waiting period can take up to 14 to 15 months.
